Di Zi Gui CCE Lessons (弟子规)
Di Zi Gui is taught to all Primary 1 and 2 students during Chinese Language (CL) Character and Citizenship Education (CCE) lessons, as well as through mass lectures conducted by the Zhonghua Cultural Society. Through Di Zi Gui, students learn values such as filial piety, respect, responsibility, resilience, integrity, care, harmony, and diligence.
P3 - P6 Higher Chinese Language (HCL)(高级华文)
HCL is offered to Primary 3 and 4 students who have a strong grounding, aptitude, and interest in Chinese Language (CL). It is also offered in Primary 5 and 6 as an additional subject. The HCL syllabus aims to develop students’ linguistic skills to a higher level of proficiency, as well as deepen their cultural knowledge. Students taking HCL in Primary 5 and 6 will sit for both CL and HCL examinations.
P3 & P4 Mother Tongue Support Programme(母语辅助计划)
The Mother Tongue Support Programme is a customised programme designed to support Primary 3 and 4 students in learning the Mother Tongue Language (MTL). With smaller class sizes, students receive more individualised attention and have more opportunities to practise what they have learnt.
Mother Tongue Fortnight(母语双周)
During the MTL Fortnight, a range of activities is provided to enable students to learn and use the Mother Tongue Language (MTL) in engaging and meaningful ways. The programme is designed to create an environment that encourages students to use Chinese Language (CL) and appreciate its associated culture.This enhances the learning experience and fosters greater interest in learning CL.
Primary 3 Language and Cultural Camp(语文与文化营)
P3 Chinese Language and Cultural Camp is a half-day camp. It provides an immersion environment with authentic learning experiences for students to learn and use Chinese Language and to appreciate the Chinese culture through hands-on activities.
P4 Cultural Performance Exposure Scheme (CPES) (“文化随意门”计划)
The Cultural Performance Exposure Scheme (CPES) (“文化随意门”计划) aims to expose students to Chinese dramas and Chinese language-related performances.
P1-P3 MTL SOAR Programme(“和书一起飞”阅读计划 )
Research shows that children who enjoy reading often demonstrate high levels of self-driven motivation. The benefits of reading extend far beyond literacy skills, positively impacting socio-emotional skills, academic success and preparing children for global competence. MTL SOAR is a structured reading programme that seeks to instil students’ love for reading in MTL.
