Curriculum
At Anderson Primary School, Physical Education develops the whole child through movement. Our programme spans Physical Activity, Outdoor Education, and Physical Health & Safety, equipping students with the skills, knowledge, and dispositions to lead active and healthy lifestyles.
Guided by national PE goals, we develop:
-
Movement Competence – confidence across a range of activities
-
Healthy Lifestyle Practices – positive habits for lifelong well-being
-
Safety Mindset – responsible decision-making and risk awareness
-
Core Values – respect, integrity, teamwork, and resilience
-
Enjoyment – a lasting love for being active
Lessons are designed with differentiated instruction, where tasks are adapted to suit students’ varying abilities and readiness. This ensures every child experiences success, builds confidence, and progresses meaningfully. Grounded in our LIGHT values, students learn in, about, and through movement, developing both physical competence and strong character.
At the end of their 6 years in Anderson Primary School, students will undergo the following milestones:
-
Primary 1 & 2: Lower Primary Sports Day
-
Primary 3: SwimSafer 2.0 Programme, Neighbourhood Walk
-
Primary 4: Track & Field Meet, NAPFA Test
-
Primary 5: P5 Camp Compass 2026

Through these meaningful experiences, we empower our students to become active, responsible, and healthy individuals for life, equipped with the skills and dispositions to thrive beyond school.
