Curriculum
The Tamil Language curriculum is designed to develop confident communicators with a strong appreciation of the Tamil language and culture. We design purposeful learning experiences and enact effective pedagogies to engage learners meaningfully. Lessons are differentiated to address students’ readiness, interests, and learning profiles, ensuring that all learners are appropriately supported and challenged.
ICT and meaningful resources are leveraged to create interactive and authentic learning experiences, making learning relevant and engaging. Beyond the classroom, students participate in enriching programmes such as Mother Tongue Fortnight, as well as activities and competitions organised by Tamil department and external partners, providing opportunities for application of learning in real-world contexts.
Through these varied learning experiences, students develop curiosity, self-directedness, and independence. They are guided to deepen their understanding and appreciation of the Tamil language and its rich cultural heritage, while growing as confident and reflective learners.
